Participation in International events:
  In recognition of the achievements made by Tunisia in the Field of hydrotherapy, the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and climate chose Tunisia to host the 63rd World Congress on hydrotherapy and the climate to be held from 1 to 2 November 2010.
The Federation in collaboration with the Office of thermalism is currently working on preparations for the congress which took part 120 specialists Experts in the field of hydrotherapy from around the world (Russia, France, Italy, China, Hungary, Ukraine, Andorra, Japan, Cuba, Germany, Korea, South Romania, Turkey, Spain ...).
The Office of thermalism participated from 20 to 22 May 2010 at the 16th edition of the International Mediterranean Tourism Market "MIT 2010" held at the Exhibition Centre Tunis Charguia.
In order to explore the business opportunities offered by the Senegalese market, the Office of thermalism participated from 20 to 23 May 2010 at the 2nd edition of the International Health and Medical Equipment Dakar SISDAK 2010 "organized by the International Center of Foreign Trade of Senegal (CICES) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Prevention Senegalese.
In order to promote its activities, the Office of thermalism organized in coordination with the Tunisian Agency for External Communication a tour for a journalists and representative foreign media implemented in Tunisia from 18 to 19 May 2010.
The tour was attended by more than 30 journalists who have had the opportunity to confer with the professionals of hydrotherapy in Tunisia, during visits made in the water conditioning unit "Furat", draft spa "Beni Mtir" and thalassotherapy center of the Hotel Tabarka Beach.

The Office of thermalism organized the involvement of Tunisia to the 12th edition of the exhibition of the Seniors, that took place March 2010, 25,26 and 27 in the Park of the exhibitions, Porte de Versailles in Paris.
The exhibition of the Seniors welcomes every year 230 exhibitors and more of 30000 visitors as well as the French and international associations.

The Office of thermalism held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 a seminar for the presentation of the third phase of "the study of upgrading the units in the thermo-mineral sector in Tunisia."
The World Federation of Thermalism and Climatism (Femtec) has just assigned to President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali the diploma of honor of the Federation in consideration for the action sustained of the Chief of the state in favor of thermalism in Tunisia and the international cooperation in the domain of the care bound to water. The president of the Femtec, Professor Nikolay Storozhenko handed this price to the ambassador from Tunisia to Japan, in presence of about hundred international operators at the time of a solemn ceremony organized in Hakone (Japan), thermal village where were held the yearly convention of the Federation and its 62nd general assembly. For his part, the Chief of Staff of the Federation Mr Umberto Soleimane greeted the prospective vision of the President of Republic, vision that allowed Tunisia to position itself like a privileged thermal destination and like a country leader in the sectors of the balneology and the thalassotherapy.

The minister of the Public Health, Mr. Mondher Znaidi governed Wednesday September 2009, 30 at the seat of the ministry, a meeting organized by the Office of thermalism concerning the report of the 3rd phase of the survey of setting to level of the units being a matter for the thermo mineral sector in Tunisia, a survey elaborated by the office of survey "Activity North Africa".

The Minister of Health Public Mr Mondher Znaidi presided Monday April 2009, 06 at the seat of the Ministry, a session of work concerning the sectors of thalassotherapy and thermalism in Tunisia with the presence of Mr Fredj Daouas the general manager of the Office of thermalism and the settings of the Office.
The Office of thermalism organized Tuesday March 2009, 10 a session of structural work on" The assessment of the situation of the sector of the thalassotherapy in the regions: Tunis, Nabeul and Tabarka ". The Office of thermalism participated at the show" Beauty Med Tunisia" the exhibition Mediterranean of Beauty and the Good to be" Spas and Thalassotherapy, Aesthetic, Cosmetic and Relooking…" that took place from April 2009, 24 to 27 in the hotel El Mouradi Club Sousse.
The Office of thermalism participated free March 25,26 and 27, 2009 in the 2nd edition of the Frensh Tunisian meetings of thalassotherapy and thermalism organized by the Economic Mission to the close to the Embassy of France. This second edition was an opportunity for the professionals of the sector to organize business meetings with French societies specialized in the sectors of project engineering, the formation, the facilities, the cosmetic products and the treatment of waters.
To held it of these meetings, Mr Mondher Zneidi minister of the Public Health attended a lunch debates to the course of which Mr the minister gave out in inscription the opportunities offered by Tunisia concerning export of the health services.
On the occasion of the 21st birthday of the change, the Professional Cell of the Agents of the Office of thermalism and the K-Study society (Tunis) organized November 06, 2008, under the aegis of Mr Mondher Zneidi Minister of the Public Health, a symposium on" The export of the services of water cares: a promising domain for Euro Mediterranean cooperation ".
Studies:
The consultancy firm hired by the Office of thermalism to prepare the strategic study on the sector in the horizon of 2016 has finalised the second phase, dealing with the development strategy for the sector of thermalism by determining priorities and proposing the necessary action plans to achieve the set objectives. This phase of the study has determined very important results.
Cooperation in the sector of thermalism:
An agreement of cooperation in tourist area has been signed between the Tunisian and French governments containing an engagement of the French part for the formation and the retraining of the settings of the Office of thermalism.
The news of the hot waters sector :
Adoption of the Tunisian Norm n°126-06 structural on the guide of good practices in the spas whose objective is to guarantee a quality better of the thermal product to all stages of its exploitation (the source, the facilities, the environment, the professional expertises…).
Accreditation of the laboratory of the Office of Thermalism:
Following the internal audits done on the subject by experts and to the audit preliminary achieved by the TUNAC, the laboratory of the Office took in consideration the given out recommendations and got ready to organize a magazine of direction following which the experts of the TUNAC will be invited to start the audit of accreditation.
The Office of thermalism continues to reinforce the laboratory by facilities of high technology through the acquirement of a GS-MS for the detection of the pollutants and in particular of the pesticides in the conditioned waters and of a power station of temperature surveillance for the non-stop mastery of the meteorological function in the laboratory.
